Health and Water Foundation is a non-governmental organization that works in Kenya primarily in integrated health, water and sanitation. HWF focus on lack of access to health services, sustainable clean water, and environmental sanitation in poor primary schools and poor rural & urban communities in Kenya. HWF works through local partnerships with community-based organizations to deliver effective community based water, health, capacity building and environmental programs.
Our mission:
• To increase access for rural and poor urban communities in Kenya to:
1. health services,
2. safe drinking water, and
3. proper sanitation facilities from the current 17% to more than 75% by the year 2025;
• To work with the poor and vulnerable people so as to eradicate poverty by overcoming injustice and inequality
• To help the disadvantaged people in Kenya to escape poverty and improve the quality of their lives
