Arguably one of the best women’s basketball players to have played the game, Azzi’s impressive WNBA career spanned five seasons with three teams including the Detroit Shock, Utah Starzz and San Antonio Silver Stars. Azzi retired with the Silver Stars in 2003 and remains one of the best players in franchise history, leaving with the all-time record in both three-point shooting and assists. She also holds the record among all-time WNBA players for three-point field goal percentage for a season.
Azzi spent four years at Stanford University where she led her squad to an overall 101-23 record while making three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and clinching the NCAA Championship her senior season. That year she was honored with both the Wade Trophy and Naismith National Player of the Year award.
In international competition, Azzi was a member of the USA Women’s Basketball Team that won the gold medal in the 1996 Olympics.
Since retiring from professional basketball, Azzi has applied her unique knowledge of health and wellness to create Azzi Training, a program designed to encourage individuals to focus on overall health and life balance.
Azzi has also become a sought after motivational speaker.
