The University has some of the finest sports facilities on a single site in the country. These include the Scottish National Swimming Academy and the Gannochy National Tennis Centre, with six indoor and four outdoor courts. Other facilities include a golf course and golf academy, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, two artificial pitches for football, hockey and rugby, a football academy and facilities for all major indoor and outdoor sports. The campus is also home to the Headquarters of the Scottish Institute of Sport, the Central Scotland Institute of Sport, the Commonwealth Games Council for Scotland, Scottish Swimming, as well as national coaches for tennis, disability swimming and triathlon.
The University has many important partnerships with business, public bodies and other education providers and plays an active part in the local and wider community. Open to all, our first class facilities include sport, an extensive collection of Scottish art, consultancy and training expertise, library and the Stirling Management Centre. The University also provides a home for the macrobert, Scotland’s leading art centre for young people, which attracts an enthusiastic audience which enjoy its varied programme of cinema and theatre performances.
