From his position at the forefront of the sport for social change movement, Kevin Carroll is a welcome addition to the online community playing an essential role in the Nike – Changemakers Competition: Sport for a Better World. Carroll is an author, speaker and consultant who has long believed in the power of sport as a vehicle for social change. His website describes him as one of the “drum majors” in this movement, and he will be adding his perspective to the online discussion at www.changemakers.net throughout the competition. The Katalyst Consultancy, which Carroll founded, has worked with organizations including The National Hockey League, ESPN and The Discovery Channel. Carroll is the author of Rules of the Red Rubber Ball (ESPN Books) and spoke to the United Nations on the occasion of the 2005 launch of the United Nations Year of Sports for Development and Peace.
