Social-Almoner (UAS), Manger of KARO e.V., Board Member of ECPAT Deutschland e.V., Board Member of Europäische Bewegung Deutschland, Honorary Assessor Management of KARO e.V., Laureate “Women of Europe – Germany – 2002”, Authoress of the book „Kinder auf dem Strich- Bericht von der deutsch- tschechischen Grenze“ (‚Children in prostitution – report from the Czech-German border’) published by the German Committee Unicef and ECPAT Deutschland e.V., released in October 2003, Horleman Verlag (Publishers) In the years 2005 and 2006 one of 15 German women who were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for “1000 women for the Peace Nobel Prize”.

The place for which Cathrin feels a fondness or connection:
Forced prostitution, women's and children's trafficking and their commercial, sexual exploitation in the Czech-German border regions shall be fought by building middle- and eastern-Europe networks as well as prevention- and awareness-methods. The public needs to be alerted. We contact the victims in street-work areas and brothels, and we seek the cooperation of own and foreign prosecution officials, NGOs and public organizations. This is specially meant to support the victim's trust, to improve their situation, and in order to develop new offers for help.

The change Cathrin passionately wants to happen:
Exemplary cross-border and interdisciplinary occupation to fight against forced prostitution, women's and children's trafficking, violence and sexual exploitation of children. - Transfer of the gained experiences to other regions in the EU, i.e. to the new member states, who have to deal with similar problems. - Exchange of experiences, research and best practice.
