Camelia Tepelus is a sustainable tourism expert and researcher on corporate social responsibility, governance, environment and human rights in tourism. She has been the Secretariat Coordinator of TheCode since 2001, has carried out extensive training and awareness raising activities in Central and South America, USA, Asia and Eastern Europe, and is the Editor of TheCode Quarterly Newsletter since 2004. She was critically instrumental in TheCode expansion from 18 member companies in 6 countries in 2001, to over 800 companies in 32 countries in 2008. She is based in NYC supporting the operation of TheCode, a CSR tourism initiative of ECPAT, UNICEF and UNWTO.
