Joanne Davies's Profile

About Joanne Davies

The place for which Joanne feels a fondness or connection:
Any natural environment but some of the most recent inspirations have been Cape York on the tip of Australia, a stunning and remote part of the world. Its the rugged natural beauty, opportunity to contribute to turtle research and interaction with the local Aboriginal community which makes this a unique place. The second is Montague Island Nature Reserve in New South Wales. Located 11 km's offsure from a small regional coastal community of Narooma the people and place make this so special you just want to keep returning - whales, spectacular views, seals, penguins and many breeding seabirds!

Bio

With over 10 years experience in the ecotourism industry a work highlight has been my time with Conservation Volunteers. In my current role I am responsible for developing and operating conservation holidays around Australia and New Zealand which actively contribute towards ongoing critical conservation projects. The business continues to receive increased profile and recognition for its innovative approach to supporting conservation through tourism.
