Life Zone runs 2 primary school soccer leagues for the Maitland Schools Sports Cluster (under-7's and under-9's, approx 400 boys and girls) that comprises 10 local primary schools. This year we will also facilitate a third league for the Under 11 section (for approx 300 boys). We also have another programme running in West Bank, Delft, a poor low-cost housing estate (approx 50 boys). Other programmes include a nutritional support programme for 50 families at a small informal settlement in 6th Ave Kensington. We also have a Bible class for the children (approx 20 girls and boys) there and also a youth development programme for about 10 youngsters. Our Leadership Academy at Wingfield Primary School is facilitated by Ben and Alicia Eakins from the USA (Denver, CO) for about 40 Grade 7 girls and boys. Other projects include assistance at the Haven Shelter for homeless people in Dapper Rd, Kensington. We are also members of the local Kensington sports Council and Honorary members of the MSSC. Our executuve Committee consists of 6 people and we are currently expanding our membership and networking7partnership bases.
