About flor cassassuce

This is how flor is a Changemaker:
I focus on improving the conditions of life in rural communities, by bringing clean water to the rural populations. Our first project is in Baja where we are installing 6000 UV Buckets for the rural communities of this state of Mexico. We realize that to move to the project to another scale, Mexico and then other developing countries, it is important, and much more interesting, to work cooperatively with all other inventors of water purification technologies for household use, or 15 technologies. We are therefore focusing now on creating a strong network between all water purification technology inventors to together solve the water problems of the developping world.

The change flor passionately wants to happen:
Create a network of water technology organization and people from all around the world to solve the water problems of all developping countries participatively and methodologically.

Bio

Graduating from the Masters of Environmental Engineering at UC Berkeley. Since then project coordinator for the NGO Niparajá in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Conducted a study of 500 wells in Baja California Sur in 2004-2005 with the Mexican National Water Commission. In 2006-2007, developped a water purifier called UV Bucket, a modified version of the UV Tube created at Berkeley that uses ultraviolet rays to purify water. The UV Bucket won the DM2008 World Bank award which allows us to distribute 6000 units to all rural communities of Baja California Sur, as a pilot project that is being monitored and evaluated very closely to determine if it is replicable and under which conditions in other regions and countries of the world.
