About Angela Weber

This is how Angela is a Changemaker:
I am a changemaker deep in my heart and soul because I use my skills and knowledge to develop projects that enhance peoples life. I work with rural and urban communities helping them put forward their collective dreams and developing them. I am an instrument in helping them build their work in search of a better life.

The place for which Angela feels a fondness or connection:
I work in a region called Chapada Diamantina, in the heart of the state of Bahia, northeast of Brazil. The village where I work is called Iraporanga or Parnaíba and is located between two biomas - savanah or cerrado and desert or caatinga. It is unique in its culture, environment and history.

The change Angela passionately wants to happen:
I want the people from Chapada, its culture and environment to be fully acknowledge and preserved. It is utmost to understand that their knowledge is crucial for our understanding of diversity and that we need to combine traditional knowledge with cientific knowledge in order to achieve a true sustainable development for all.
