About Ian Callaghan

This is how Ian is a Changemaker:
Ian Callaghan led the BOLD 2006 and 2007 transactions which established Morgan Stanley’s market-leading position in microfinance among investment banks. He is now Head of the Microfinance Group at Morgan Stanley, and is also a member of the Boards of the International Association of Microfinance Investors, the UK Microfinance Club and the Finance for Development subcommittee of the World Economic Forum. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2004, he was involved, as a banker, consultant and small business owner, in a range of activities from project finance (including the initial financing of the Channel Tunnel), to corporate strategy, small business lending and the economic development of remote areas. Born and brought up in West Africa, where his family lived for 25 years, he has also, in a private capacity, been involved for some time in environmental campaigning, and is presently Chair of the London Cycling Campaign, the world’s largest urban cycling organization.
