Bio

Harrie’s experience and leadership in the world of philanthropy provides the backbone for Carnegie Sports Group. He has worked with the New York City Sports Commission where he helped put together plans for New York City’s Olympic bid, NYC2012, and the Verizon Millrose Games. Past experience also includes BDO Seidman, LLP, The Leverage Agency and the production of 52 Weeks: Interviews With Champions, where he worked with author Dave Hollander. Harrie is also known for his work with New York University’s Sports Business Society (SBS) where as President, he led the group to the 2007 President’s Service Award, given to organizations that demonstrate excellence in the area of philanthropy, leadership and community activism. Through SBS, Harrie has worked with organizations such as The American Cancer Society, The Catholic Big Sisters Big Brothers, The Simon Wiesenthal Center, The United Nations Office of Sport for Development and Peace, as well as Right To Play, where he currently sits on the Young Board of Trustees Committee. Yet, his greatest accomplishment is being a cancer survivor, an endless source of motivation for Harrie. A graduate of New York University, where he was presented the Allie Sherman Sports Business Leadership Award, Harrie currently resides in New York City.
