The International Centre for Responsible Tourism is a post-graduate training and research centre based at the Leeds Metropolitan University. Our MSc Responsible Tourism Management distance learning programme is popular amongst industry because it is based on the experience gained in changing practices for responsible tourism amongst industry, governments and non-governmental organisations. Taught by internationally renowned academics and practitioners, it is designed as continuous professional development combining distance learning and selective weekend teaching.

From September 2008, the ICRT will also offer what is to our knowledge the only masters in the world that focuses on greening the hospitality industry. We have developed the course from consultancy ranging from international hotel chains to many programmes in developing countries on accommodation business start ups and the Green Tourism Business Scheme in the UK, making it grounded on industry realities to provide practical solutions. Leeds Met has over 52,000 students, making us one of the largest and most popular universities in the UK.
