I am beyond inspired by this ministry that you and Greg have launched. I am a LPC graduate and currently minister (non-paid) at PDX4. You are having a great impact on so many people in making them aware of issues that have been swept under the carpet. I appreciate the many facets that JustOne tackles. Blessings to you and all that you are doing to make a huge impact in the world. I will continue to support you in prayer and do all that I can on a practical level as well. -Alia Escalante

Thanks so much for your note Alia!

I'm glad to hear that you are in Portland. I'm assuming you have connected with Greg? I'm so glad to hear that you are connected with JustOne.

Hope to see you face to face again soon.

I am from Portland and this is the first time I have heard about your organization. I was browsing through your website and I think that what you are doing and how you are doing it is fantastic! Your "Sex and Chocolate" campaign sounds very interesting. Do you post on your website when one of these events is taking place and where it will be taking place? Is there a cost to people who attend the various events? And I agree with Natasha above, the branding of your website really catches the readers eye and encourages them to search through your website. What is your team currently doing to overcome the financial challenges associated with being such a young company and a non-profit organization? I'll be looking for your name around Portland.

Hello CourtneyTimm,

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. We're actually based in Portland now. :)

In regards to your questions...

Q: Do you post on your website when one of these events is taking place and where it will be taking place?
A: Yes. All of our S&C events are advertised on our website.

Q: Is there a cost to people who attend the various events?
A: S&C events are all FREE.

Q: What is your team currently doing to overcome the financial challenges associated with being such a young company and a non-profit organization?
A: We are currently looking into grant writing and developing our donor options on our site. Any advice you could give would be appreciated.

I hope our paths cross again. If you want, you could email my partner Greg Russinger at greg@just4one.org if you need more local info for Portland.

Thanks again for your note and kind words.
Charles

I love the branding of your website. Very appealing to youth and young professionals.

How does the general public engage with the issue after they are aware? How does the awareness result in creating change for those most in need?

Thanks for the note Natasha!

During our learning forums (current campaign is called Sex and Chocolate), we provide practical ways people can get involved (E.g., How to Identify Victims, How & Where to Report Suspicion, Developing Intelligent Purchasing, etc.). In addition, we support a shelter for Trafficking victims in the state of Washington. Furthermore, we refer people regularly to other organizations depending on the individual's interests and professional background.
