FreeClinicLink™ Program Wins Two Prestigious Awards
The FreeClinicLink program is Aidmatrix's web-based tool that connects medical donors with members of the National Association of Free Clinics (NAFC). The tool enables free clinics nationwide to receive donations of medical products and to purchase medical products at discounted rates. This supply chain has made great progress in the area of medical relief and facilitated over $50 million dollars of donated products. The cost savings alone totals more than $1 million dollars from collaborative buying and real-time data integration with suppliers. The program was recently awarded two prestigious awards:
The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals' (CSCMP) "2007 Supply Chain Innovation" Award - This award is a national award for medical relief work done across the country at the NAFC. It is awarded by CSCMP's Research Strategies Committee (RSC) and Global Logistics & Supply Chain Strategies (GLSCS) magazine who established the Supply Chain Innovation Award "to recognize the best and most innovative teams in supply chain today." Aidmatrix was the only nonprofit among the finalists, which included Bakers Footwear, John Deere and SmartOps, Kraft, Liquor Control Board of Ontario, Motorola and OceanSchedules.com.
The Center for Nonprofit Management's "2007 Innovation in Action" Award - This award was designed to honor "an organization that has implemented innovative approaches, such as the use of technology, advanced business processes or program development to achieve measurable gains in organizational performance and efficiency." It was awarded during the "A Night of Light" event in Dallas, TX, in front of a prestigious local audience of more than 700 guests.

Singer Beyonce Knowles, the Global FoodBanking Network, and Pastor Rudy Rasmus Join Forces with Aidmatrix for State-of-the-Art Virtual Food Drive to Feed the Hungry of Ethiopia, India and Turkey
DALLAS, TX - October 23, 2007 -- The Aidmatrix Foundation, Inc. launched a Virtual Aid Drive™ for The Beyonce Experience's Global Anti-Hunger Drive with Pastor Rudy Rasmus to raise funds to feed the hungry of Ethiopia, India and Turkey. The funds will be donated to the Global FoodBanking Network and used to purchase the food items for people in need. The public is invited to make donations at http://www.aidmatrix.org/beyonce.
This unique partnership leverages the latest technology in online fundraising drives. Aidmatrix' Virtual Aid Drive™ allows the donor to choose from a shopping list that is approved for each country. The Global FoodBanking Network can leverage the donation with its bulk buying power to acquire the food and coordinate delivery logistics in the local country.
"Reaching out and touching lives is incredibly empowering. That's why I want my fans to experience more than my music. I want them to experience the joy of making a difference by helping someone else," stated Ms. Knowles on Pastor Rudy Rasmus' Touch1.org website.
By donating money rather than items donors can ensure that each dollar's purchasing power is maximized. The dollars donated go further, as non-profits can often save up to 78% off of retail costs for food purchases. Donors also get the confidence of knowing they are providing the The Global FoodBanking Network with the goods that are needed most, not items that will sit on a shelf. BEYONCÉ, PASTOR RUDY RASMUS, THE GLOBAL FOODBANKING NETWORK AND AIDMATRIX TEAM UP ON VIRTUAL FOOD DRIVES
Donations Will Help Feed the Hungry in Ethiopia, Turkey and India
Houston, TX. (October 18, 2007) - Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter and actress Beyoncé announced today that she is joining her minister and friend Pastor Rudy Rasmus, the Global FoodBanking Network and Aidmatrix® to launch an international virtual food drive initiative. Beyoncé says, "Reaching out and touching lives is incredibly empowering, that's why I want my fans to experience more than my music.
I want them to experience the joy of making a difference by helping someone else."
The virtual food drive provides an easy way to get food to those who need it most:
It's customized: You select from a shopping list that is appropriate for each country.
It's efficient: The Global FoodBanking Network can leverage your donation to acquire more food than you would be able to buy in a grocery store with your donation.
It's effective: Your donation is quantified. For illustrative purposes, you can see how many people you are helping.
It's innovative: Aidmatrix uses technology through the Internet to connect donors to those in need, so anyone who logs onto the website can aid with Hunger.
Pastor Rudy adds: "This unique partnership gives everyone the opportunity to make a difference, regardless of location or resources. In Ethiopia, Turkey and India even a small contribution can help
feed many people."
Hunger is a problem that exists in all countries. Statistics show that it affects families where both parents are working but struggle to make ends meet; it affects seniors who find themselves with limited access to transportation and food; and it affects millions of children around the world who may not know where they will find their next meal. In countries like Ethiopia, Turkey and India, hunger is often the most significant cause of disease and death.
Beyoncé asks her fans to help. "I want to encourage people to get involved in the fight against world hunger, in Pastor Rudy's ongoing mission to help the least among us, and in the work of The Global FoodBanking Network. Any help - by donating even a small amount - can make an enormous difference."
Beyoncé grew up attending St. John's Church with Pastor Rudy, where she learned at a young age the importance of reaching out and helping those who are less fortunate. Pastor Rudy is an urban prophet and humanitarian committed to ending hunger in the world. He is the author of a new book entitled "Touch" which profiles his unique brand of sharing radical love and hospitality in a broken world and a new music project (the book's sound track) entitled "The Pastor Rudy Experience." "I am committed to touching and changing the world... one life at a time," Pastor Rudy says. www.pastorrudy.net

California joins the FEMA National Donations Management System
One Dozen States past Network Sign-up Process
Aidmatrix now counts 12 of the United States as part of the FEMA National Donations Management Network; meaning one quarter of the nation can feel confident their state government has taken concrete steps toward disaster preparedness. California, a state considered among those most frequently plagued by natural tragedy, signed on this week. The Golden State is in good company with Alabama, Arizona, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Texas and Virginia. After agreeing to the system, state personnel, nonprofit leaders and others involved in disaster relief efforts go through program training. At the same time California was joining the Network, Aidmatrix was conducting training in Mississippi and Louisiana. Currently presentations are being held around the country and 10 other states have progressed to final determination stages regarding the donations system. I spent ten weeks in Tomsk in 1999, doing preliminary research for a possible development project in Russia's geographic center. (Mainly: far away from Moscow region, where development aid money had a habit of disappearing without a trace.) I recommended Tomsk to the US side for a modest development project, and asked the White House to match it up with a suitable project. It turned out that USAID had a project ready to go and were looking to place it. My recommendations matched their specifications precisely, and Tomsk got the fourth and final regional initiative in December 1999. That became the Russia-US Regional Initiative in Tomskaya Oblast, which ran from 2001-2005. (The main component I wanted was a microfinance bank, which is now Tomsk Microfinance Bank.)
It was very clear that Tomsk had great potential and was a very progressive community, although greatly hampered by widespread and lethal corruption, mafia-style. I had to leave because of refusing extortion, for example. At least one attempt was made on my life to "persuade" me, followed by imprisonment, and I still refused to cave in. "Officials" finally gave up and booted me out of Russia. For refusing to break the law. I am therefore very, very pleased and heartened to see this Partnership Against Corruption taking root and making a difference in a community I always loved and still believe in. I understand quite well, as you might imagine, just what you're up against and how dangerous your "opposition" really is. Tomsk's Partnership Against Corruption deserves all the help you can get. The ability, willingness, and determination to fight against corruption and all that goes with it is exactly what I saw in 1999. It is very encouraging to see it continuing and coming into fruition.
In my opinion, Tomsk coalition is the only institute in Russia, which really works under the problem. I'm originally from Tomsk, for 4 years live in Moscow, and do not know any other organizations with that fight spirit. Good luck and keep going!
The project is vital, no doubt. It is worth developing. Tomsk with its dynamic community is always sensitive for innovations and changes. Change makers are there. The Partnership based upon its members' experience is willing and capable to raise the civil and legal awareness of population. Making information, education, and assistance and monitoring as their objectives they have already attracted and will attract more members in their Partnership to change people’s perception of corruption and to coordinate anti-corruption efforts.
I wish all the project’s participants luck and new achievements.
This project presumes the work in local communities based on six years experience of anticorruption activities, on professional training and mechanisms of public participation. The new stage of project envisages higher level of cooperation among civil society organizations, the business community, the media, and government. The city of Tomsk is well known as a center of civic initiatives in Russia, and this cooperation seems to be fruitfull. I had a privilege to work with leaders of civil society in this city who are indeed strong and I'm sure that and those mechanisms to withstand corruption that are planned in the project will certainly be used and project goal will be achieved.
My name is Rich Gottbreht from Global Insights and I am one of the entrants in the competition. Our work centers on helping anyone concerned about corruption learn about the subject through my book, our board game and its associated seminars, as well as low cost consulting. To find out more about us please visit our website www.globalinsights.biz. From the home page, you can link to information about us, our products and what people say about our products and services. From the details in the initiative we submitted you should also note that some of the proceeds from our sales will eventually go to a high integrity leadership development foundation. Also, if you are interested, down the road we will be looking for alliances and contacts in every country.
