Hello Nilanjana,

I, too, would love to learn more about the work that you are doing? Could you please respond to the questions posed by Jessica on May 20th and perhaps incorporate some of those answers into your entry form? That would be great. Thank you.

Hello,

I commend you on your passionate expression for your desire for innovation and changing attitudes in the general populace towards compassion for other human beings and away from attitudes that promote environments in which modern day slavery may thrive. Your passion and compassion could certainly serve a great purpose in driving social change!

Howeer, it is unclear exactly what your action plan would be to facilitate this social change in attitudes and norms. You mention volunteers and handing out pamphlets, but it is unclear what the goals, target audiences, and action plan would be for achieving your broad ideal of social change.

It would be wonderful to see your passion for this issue channeled into a concrete action plan that would include the following:

1) A broad vision or goal
2) A specific objective:
What will your organization do specifically to achieve this broad goal?
Who specifically will you serve?
3) What are three main activities or actions that your organization will focus efforts on in order to meet your goals?

Although a broad vision and goal is necessary to provide the motivation to begin social change, narrowing your scope and focus to a specific segment of the population or top three priorities can make your action plan more realistic and attainable.
