Positioning in the Mosaic of solutions
What is your signature innovation, your new idea, in one sentence? - Having access to good jobs and the consequent financial freedom will discourage both traffickers and their victims and the potential ones from the act.
Describe your innovation. What makes your idea unique and different than others doing work in the field? - When the female sex is Educated, they say, a Nation has been educated. Thus, when Governments world over try as much as possible to ensure education for all citizens, not only will these citizens know their rights as to rejecting offers from traffickers when they come. But, they will also have access to better employment opportunities and thus have good financial stands. Since we all know that traffickers and their victims all engage in this bad act mostly to make ends meet, then, it will make sense to agree that having access to good jobs and the consequent financial freedom will discourage both traffickers and their victims and the potential ones from the act.
Delivery Model: How do you implement your innovation and apply it to the challenge/problem you are addressing? - This activity can be easily replicated when we try to inculcate some skills into people (especially females), we see their tendency towards trying to transfer what they've learnt to others.
How do you plan to grow your innovation? - This field has not been completed. (166 words or less)
Do you have any existing partnerships, and if so, how do you create them? - This field has not been completed. (166 words or less)
Provide one sentence describing your impact/intended impact. - Adequately educating citizens will totally change their orientation, i.e Their view about change from "get rich at all costs, by all means" or the "get rich or die trying" attitudes.
How many people have you served or plan to serve? - This field has not been completed. (166 words or less)
Please list any other measures of the impact of your innovation? - They will be able to see that there are many far better means through which they can make ends meet. Also, they (the victims) will be educated concerning their fundamental human rights which is against this idea, so they will be able to reject when offer are made to them.
Exactly who are the beneficiaries of your innovation? - This field has not been completed. (83 words or less)
How is your initiative financed (or how do you expect your initiative will be financed)? - It is very logical that when you educate someone and that person tries to transfer that education to others, then that kind of education is already self-sustainable.
If known, provide information on your finances and organization - Annual budget;
Annual revenue generated; Number of staff: This field has not been completed. (166 words or less) What is the potential demand for your innovation? - This activity can be easily replicated when we try to inculcate some skills into people (especially females), we see their tendency towards trying to transfer what they've learned to others.
What are the main barriers to financial sustainability? - This field has not been completed. (83 words or less)
What is the origin of this innovation? Tell us your story. - Apparently, with concrete evidences from past examples, take for instance Mrs Olufunmilayo Ransome Kuti, we will agree that when a woman is educated, it is very logical that her children too will be (as obvious from the Mrs Kuti example). So, when alot of people are thus educated, it is not likely that bad acts that occur from pressing towards financial freedom (such as trafficking) will happen. In Nigeria the problem being faced by the Government is the full implementation of the Universal Basic Education (UBE). However, recent developments such as move made at the National conference which seeks that parents who refuse to educate their children should serve jail terms, shows that there is light at the end of the tunnel for the UBE.

Hello Olowojaiye,

Dear Olowojaiye;
I think your entry is important because it recognizes the primary role that education, both in general and more specifically, in terms of rights, can play in ending all types of forced labor. However, the scope of your program seems broad and I think identifying specific education goals, beneficiaries and activities would strengthen your entry. For example, is the aim of your program to increase female enrollment in primary and or secondary school? Or alternatively are you seeking to increase knowledge around specific topics, such as human rights? Also, what would be the main activities of the project? For example, if you want to increase knowledge around a particular topic, you might think of developing a curriculum to be incorporated into standard middle school classrooms. Again, while your ideas are good, I think the entry would benefit from more detail and clearer project goals and impact.
Good luck!
