Positioning in the Mosaic of solutions
What is your signature innovation, your new idea, in one sentence? - "Rx Healthy Solutions" is a computer-based health initiative that will teach about hygiene, First Aid, and trafficking.
Describe your innovation. What makes your idea unique and different than others doing work in the field? - Traffickers exploit poverty and illiteracy that are rampant in many parts of the world to buy children from uneducated and destitute parents. These naive parents believe that this broker will be able to provide their child with a better life, never suspecting that their child will become a sex slave. We present "Rx Healthy Solutions," a computer-based health initiative that will teach about hygiene, First Aid, and trafficking. This software will improve health literacy even among the uneducated and teach the computer skills demanded by many jobs. The technical skills acquired by using this program will give trafficked victims a better chance of leaving behind the red-light areas, while teaching parents the dangers of trafficking.
Delivery Model: How do you implement your innovation and apply it to the challenge/problem you are addressing? - We will offer the "Rx Healthy Solutions" software to NGOs at no cost. The simplicity of our software application will allow for greater replication among NGOs that may otherwise lack the technical skills needed to implement software. Organizations will be able to distribute the software easily without any support from Cents of Relief. "Rx Healthy Solutions" reduces the need to find health instructors to teach the population at-risk and possesses the ability to profoundly improve the overall health of that particular community.
How do you plan to grow your innovation? - Cents of Relief has spent a year developing the health content and games of the "Rx Healthy Solutions" initiative. We have developed this with the help of advisors and board members educated in health and technology. In addition, software companies delivering e-health in impoverished countries have helped. "Rx Healthy Solutions" reduces the need for qualified health volunteers because it does not require technical instructors. Our software is readily available where as health volunteers may not be. This allows for a substantial impact and increases the ability to reach a larger amount of women and children in prostitution. Aside from health content updates in future versions of the software; this program is self-sustainable for life.
Do you have any existing partnerships, and if so, how do you create them? - We have developed this with the help of advisors and board members educated in health and technology. In addition, software companies delivering e-health in impoverished countries have helped.

NGOs will be able to utilize "Rx Healthy Solutions" to teach trafficking victims take care of themselves through computers and uneducated parents the perils of human trafficking.
How is your initiative financed (or how do you expect your initiative will be financed)? - Cents of Relief has spent a year developing the health content and games of the "Rx Healthy Solutions" initiative. Hello Anup,
Your initiative is interesting. How are you distributing this technology? Who is using it? Could you please include information about the social impact that your work is having? How many victims have you worked with? After victims use the program is there any follow up? What are the results? Thank you.

Using a free program to teach computer skills while also educating a vulnerable population seems like a good way to resolve two problems at once. It could address the vulnerability of a targeted population by increasing community resilience, but I'd like to know more about the content and how it works. Are there enough computers in place for this to be successfully implemented? Is there a way to test and measure the program's effectiveness? Does the program require a trained educator to supervise it?
If Cents of Relief has a way to teach participants increasingly complex computer skills after they experience this initial program, that might make it a better, more powerful tool. Cents of Relief seems like an organization with a very noble mission that has a wide-focus, holistic approach to addressing trafficking in India. It would be helpful to know what makes the organization unique, what its ultimate strength is, and how it measures success.
