Changemakers University Challenge

The University Challenge is designed to engage a new generation in the sports for social change movement and attract global thought leaders and investors in the process. • Exposure to cross-disciplinary skills, experiences, and online networking opportunities needed to advance and support social entrepreneurship at a global level;

cutting-edge research and scholarship on social entrepreneurship practices;
• Skill-building activities that demonstrate the power of open sourcing through online social networking;
• Profile for your college as a leader in educational opportunities, online social networking, and active membership in building the sports for social change and social entrepreneurship movements.


Join the Challenge
Central to the collaboration and building of the movement is the Changemakers online commentary on the "Nike - Changemakers Competition: Sport for a Better World".


Who should join the Challenge?
Changemakers seeks faculty, students and staff from academic institutions to participate in discussions, pose questions to entrants and engage your networks with the Sport for a Better World Competition.


The University Challenge Awards
Following the competition, Nike will award a number of prizes to participating college
communities:

Student:
• Two $500 prize offerings for students who contribute the most innovative entry.
Faculty:
• $1000 prize towards a program or center that supports social entrepreneurship and sport.
University:
• $3000 grant to the college whose faculty and students contributed the most insightful comments and stimulated the most robust online review.

Faculty and Student Awards will be judged on outstanding contributions in the following areas:

• Online discussion.
• Lending insights from area of expertise related to the theme of the competition that engages entrant and online viewer discussion.
• Directing entrants and online viewers to resources in field.
• Promoting competition amongst networks encouraging participation in the competition including new entries, online commentary and discussion on other blog sites and social networks sites.
• Providing leadership to student ambassador (specific to Faculty Award).

The University Award will be in recognition of the overall outstanding contributions by University’s faculty, staff and students.
